Can old playgrounds be upgraded with inclusive features?

Yes. Older playgrounds can be retrofitted by:
Replacing wood chips with unitary surfacing (rubber tiles, turf, or poured rubber)
Adding transfer stations to slides and climbing structures
Installing adaptive swings, musical panels, or other sensory play equipment
The retrofit  will include engineering drawings, updated safety certificates, and a revised maintenance schedule.
